I'm a hospitality entrepreneur, restaurateur, and lifestyle creator based in New Braunfels, Texas. I run 7 Monks Cafe with my mom Neeta — the first Indian restaurant in New Braunfels — and I share the unfiltered journey of building businesses, navigating two cultures, and exploring the world through food.
I'm Indian-born, globally-raised, and Texas-rooted — and I document all of it on Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and right here.

Born in Mumbai
My first word was, fittingly enough, 'food.' I was born in Mumbai and grew up surrounded by the flavors, aromas, and chaos of one of the world's greatest food cities.
Age 6 — France
My dad, an engineer, was transferred to France. I learned how to walk into rooms where no one looked like me and still make space for myself. I also discovered croissants.
Teenage Years — Malaysia
Another transfer, another culture. Malaysia's incredible diversity of food cultures lit something in me. Street food, hawker stalls, the explosion of flavors — this is where my obsession with food really took hold.
Age 16 — Texas, USA
My family settled in New Braunfels, Texas. I went to the University of Houston's College of Business, where I won a $1,000 pitch contest for my Indian restaurant business plan.
2014 — Bonjour Texas
I used that prize money to open Bonjour Texas, a French-inspired deli in New Braunfels. It was my first business and the beginning of everything.
2019 — 7 Monks Cafe
The dream I'd had since college finally came true. My mom Neeta and I opened 7 Monks Cafe — New Braunfels' first Indian restaurant. We opened right before COVID-19. The community showed up for us anyway.
Today
7 Monks has been voted Best Vegetarian & Vegan Restaurant 7 years in a row. I'm building a media brand, a newsletter, and sharing every messy, beautiful part of this journey with you.

My mom Neeta is the heart and soul of 7 Monks Cafe. A native of Goa, India, she spent years as a housewife perfecting recipes inspired by her home kitchen, her travels, and her love of cooking shows.
When I came to her asking for help to open a restaurant, she said yes — and neither of us fully realized what we were getting into. "Honestly, it's been a great ride," she says.
Every recipe at 7 Monks comes from her kitchen. Every curry, every naan, every gulab jamun — it's all her. I just handle the business side. She handles the magic.
Visit 7 Monks CafeI'm the first woman in my family to have this much freedom — to choose where I live, what I build, and how I show up in the world.
I want to show other Indian women, other immigrant daughters, other people who've been told to be smaller — that you can build a life that looks completely different from what people expect. And you don't have to keep diminishing your light for others.
